A Nostalgic Workout!

So if you follow me on Instagram you know that I went to visit my fiance in Cincinnati! Now I am definitely the kinda of person that needs to keep up a routine when it comes to working out, even on a mini vacay to see your man! Is it because I want to stay fit? Well yes, but mainly it makes me feel good! Working out is such a mental relaxant for me! With that being said, let me introduce you to my favorite place to workout in Cincy!

Book a class now!

Barre Code Cincinnati! This is a great fitness establishment that excepts all levels! This method offers three core formats:

  • Barre ( a 50 min workout that combines barre work and isometric movements that constantly change routines, props, and a high-energy playlist)
  • Bootcamp ( a class to improve cardiovascular conditioning & functional strength with heavy weights, HIIT, and killer beats)
  • Brawl (a high energy kickboxing style class)

I have only done the barre class, but will be taking my first brawl class with owner and friend Michelle Ziegler tonight! Wish me luck!!!!

Why go here? What makes this place so special?

I will say that I have gone through a lot last year! Arc and I picking up our entire lives from Florida, moving to Cincy, and taking a year off from the company life. It wasn’t easy, but people like Michelle made my days better! I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle through Cincinnati Ballet. Even though I was not a dancer with the company she was there for Arc and I and welcomed me to the barre code family with open arms! This is what a workout community is all about! People lifting one another up and wanting the best for each other! That’s what makes barre code so special to me and not to mention that I walk out of the classes shaking and worked hard!

I will forever be grateful to barre code & Michelle for helping this dancer stay in shape mentally and physically! Hence the title of this blog! I actually got a little emotional yesterday because I know how far I have come from a year ago to now! I feel like a completely different person and I am proud of myself for never giving up!

I want you to leave feeling better than when you came. Not everyday is going to be your best; working on building strength is a journey. We need to learn to give ourselves the same grace we show others. This is my personal goal for everyone who takes class at our studio!
